| Ah yes, the classic mistake of using Reply at bad timing: right when somebody else send you a tell, and that precious information is sent to the wrong person. What do you all think? Is that information considered OOC info? | |

| I voted no because if you're sending a really really precious piece of information, you should always use "tell XXX" to ensure delivery of it to the right person (unless of course someone's being a sneaky little --). Using only the tell command is also useful when you're talking to 5 different people at once. And if you're talking to invisible or hidden "someones," I don't think you should be relaying important info anyway. Just my thoughts. | |

| I treat it like a typo and do my best to disregard. My character has done it enough for me to hope others do the same... | |

| things that occur in real life that we must handle the consequnces for: misdirected texts misdirected emails misdirected luggage misdirected childhoods misdirected sem--err i should probably stop there point being, we make mistakes, and it's wholly conceivable that a character could mentally confuse two people. all that information is fair game, as far as i'm concerned. | |

| Hah. I've gotten some interesting mistells before (like Orius claiming he had recalled away while Kawl and I were locked in the Temple of Murder, saying he was coming back, and he sent a mistell that he was right outside, toying with us. ) and I always treat them ICly. If I lived in a world where I could send magical mental messages to people, I know receiving several messages from several people at once could make anyone confused... it's very IC, in my opinion. But I wish there was a better way to deal with it than saying "wrong mind" just like I wish there was a better way to leave the realms... I mean, when you log off, where do you go? | |

| Nowhere. You cease to exist, like color in a dark room. | |

| It's definitely IC. Just like if you say, "I'm going to go sex that dog. / ooc: whoops, hex* lol" you still said you were going to sex a dog, and best get to explaining yourself in character. God, that annoys me. | |

| I have always played them as IC. I rp out the mishap as well. I have given and received some very juicy info from mistells before. I think it adds spice to communicating via long range telepathy. | |
