Shattered Kingdoms

My favorite memory of Maraigh was me leveling a greybie gnome priest, ticking off Maraigh while resting in the Teron inn, and then handing him his butt when he attacked me, sending him running to Nerina for safe haven.

I never really got what Maraigh's -point- was. He just didn't seem to do anything from what I could tell.

Glad he's gone, he was a huge detriment as Maraigh. Just another in a long line of Harlequin characters that turned that cabal into a joke.

Though I have the same question on my mind, I try not to make too big a judgment. From what I've seen, the objective of Maraigh was for his player to explore the world of SK. In that sense, his first character was more successful than mine.

Maraigh was interesting. I think you could do better, but I don't think I can really find anything bad to say. You probably would have been really, really cool with a stronger mentor figure to pull you in more. I bet you can totally surpass him with your next. Prove me right!

Hrm...I suppose I ought to say something.

To the issue of a "point" to the character, I have to ask everyone to think about whether there is a "point" to even half the characters in SK. I don't even know that there is a "point" to Thyki aside from her existing for my enjoyment and hopefully the enjoyment of others. And in that sense of a "point" to the character, Maraigh did bring a lot of enjoyment to a number of players and characters. I dunno maybe I am a bit biased because on an OOC level I had fun with this character and I probably saw a lot more of him than most other players as well.

As far as IC considerations go, Thyki was constantly infuriated by him. She has a strict sense of how things should be and he never fit it, never attempted to fit it and threw it all back in her face. I had a great time Rping out the relationship between them because it allowed me to explore various aspects of my own character that I had not previously thought to exist.

Thank you for helping to make Thyki more couture and less costume.

I felt that this character was played in an OOC manner. He also did not live up to my expectations of how a hellion "should be" played. That being said, there were a lot of good things about this character, it is impressive that he was your first, and all in all, he enhanced my enjoyment of the game.

Good luck with your next. I think you are quite capable of doing something great.

Couldn't help but post on this one - had a blast with ya in the Harlies! Wish we could have done more pkilling....just as things seemed to be getting good...we all get booted out!
