Shattered Kingdoms

Owen was made a long time ago.. when the balance was heavily against the lighties. He was really just supposed to be a joke character, but I was too lazy to really get into it well enough. I was surprised by how much fun I had playing him.. provided a great escape from PK when I was either too inhebriated or just didn't want to deal with it. In the end though his RP was just too strict, it wasn't fun anymore to bend the rules using compassion as an excuse. Or getting left behind because he didn't like killing people. Which he did from time to time and beat himself up over it.

So Owen was a moody, bitchy little jerk. Who loved everyone and everything, tried his hardest not to discriminate between race, aura, religion, kingdom.. just show compassion and aid anyone and everyone in hopes that it would do some good.
He resented that he never got proper mentoring from Nytomi, but remembered absolutely everything she ever said to him. His beliefs were garnered from mostly the literature he found in libraries, and the ways he interpreted them. Or ideas he had while smoking his pipe and staring at rainbows Rodwen crapped into the sky.

Owen moved to Teron to help the poor misguided Teronians.. and it seemed to work out, that is until Owen wasn't watching. After having watched the west villify some of those he'd 'come up' with and who had his deepest respects, all his goals ending in failure, he faced with the fact that all his efforts thus far had been in vain and he finally allowed himself to become the doormat he always was by quitting. Fading away slowly.. and then suddenly vanishing with a few hugs.

It's a crap ending to a crap story and I'm a [REDACTED] poor writer.. but that's what you get when I have a head full of codeine and few missing teeth.

lol, I had some fun with Owen. Sad to see him go.

I enjoyed my induction with you very much and I am sad we won't have more interactions. I know you've got another character that I have a great time with as well, so at least I know I still get to play with you, but I'll still miss him none the less.

Yeah.. in hindsight there are several things I wish I had done before deleting him.. but I wanted to get it knocked out now, before I decided to get drunk and run around casting harm on anyone I saw. And so that someone else would snag the PAR spot next month, as I'm pretty sure Owen received enough enlights to take it.

I wish he'd been able to teach the flock more than he was taught. I wish he'd shown them the place with the sacred armor.. i wish I'd said goodbye or thanked more people. But whatever.

Owen was great. I don't actually know what else to say. He was great in so many ways that it would do him an injustice to list only a couple when the list would go on for chapters...if you will.

Sad to see Owen go. Feel better and keep Veret.

oh Veret's going till age death. And i'll have him haunt people after that. Mostly because people kept saying I should delete him cause I built him wrong and suck at pk and whatever else. They can suck it.

Owen was something I felt proud of being a part of with my old priest. Thanks for sharing him with us.

Very sad to see Owen go. He was how I would immagine a true aludran very hard to RP and rather challenging.
